What is HUMAN DESIGN
Human Design is a self-discovery system that brings together elements of astrology, the Hindu chakra system, the Chinese I-Ching, and quantum physics to offer insight into how your energy is uniquely designed to operate. It provides a practical framework for understanding how you make decisions, interact with others, and move through the world in a way that feels more aligned and supportive.
Rather than telling you who to be, Human Design invites greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. It can help you recognise your natural strengths, honour your boundaries, and work with your energy instead of against it. Within this retreat, Human Design will be offered as a gentle tool for reflection, clarity, and deeper understanding of self.
Your Host
This retreat is hosted by Kaela Raku.
Kaela is a yoga and meditation teacher who has been guiding students since 2019, with a deep commitment to ongoing study and embodied practice. She approaches her work as both teacher and student, continually refining her offerings through curiosity, lived experience, and devotion to self-inquiry.
Alongside her yoga teaching, Kaela has over 13 years’ experience as a voice teacher, singer, and performer. This background informs her work in sound healing and mantra, allowing her to weave voice, breath, and subtle energy into her retreats in a way that supports deep listening and inner connection.
Kaela is also a qualified Human Design reader, having completed her training in 2020. Since then, she has supported many people to better understand themselves and how their unique energy operates in the world. Her approach to Human Design is grounded, compassionate, and practical — offering insight not as something to “fix,” but as a tool for greater self-acceptance, clarity, and alignment.
Within a retreat setting, Kaela creates a supportive and intentional container where participants are invited to explore body, energy, and inner awareness at their own pace. Her work is rooted in breath, presence, and the subtle movement of energy, with the intention of facilitating meaningful shifts that extend beyond the mat and into daily life.
Kaela is passionate about meeting people where they are, honouring each individual’s experience, and guiding with warmth, clarity, and care.
The Location
Amarant is a Kevin Borland designed architectural treasure perched on Mt Ben Cairn, amidst 25 acres of pristine rainforest in the Yarra Ranges. Built to feel like a treehouse, it takes advantage of the panoramic views down the valley while being at one with nature. As soon as you arrive on the property you can feel the sense of comfort and privacy this place provides.
Not only is the house beautiful, but the surrounding forest has many walking paths, gardens and abundant wildlife to enjoy, without ever needing to leave the property.
The Food
Ashley Mariani is a chef and educator who has been working in the industry for more than 20yrs.
She has taught cooking for Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food and the Stephanie Alexander’s Kitchen Garden Programme.
She currently focuses on retreat catering and travels up and down the east coast creating magic with different yoga, meditation, sound healing, reiki, and personal development based facilitators.
Ashley takes pride and pleasure from creating food that is both nourishing and inspirational. Always happy to cater for different dietary needs, Mediterranean flavours are the back bone of Ashley’s meals, that are created from seasonal, local ingredients.

With a variety of room options to choose from you’ll be sure to find something that suits your needs for our time together.
Come Home to Yourself is an opportunity to be in connection with yourself as well as with other like-minded souls in a retreat setting.
There are options for Twin Share Rooms, which are great for anyone coming with a friend or partner, or are a wonderful way to meet someone new.
(For those coming as a group, there is one room with the option to add a 3rd or 4th person to make it even more cost effective!)

This room includes both an ensuite and a kitchenette. It is the perfect option for a group of friends who would love to room together. Housing three King singles on the main level, plus a loft with an additional King single there is plenty of room, and is the most cost effective option. (If coming as a group of 4 the split price comes down to $1365pp!)

Securing Your Spot
Upon receiving your REGISTRATION FORM Kaela will contact you via email with confirmation of accommodation and bank transfer details.
If your preferred accommodation is no longer available, we will offer you an alternative option.
To secure your spot a $300pp non-refundable deposit is required.

Modifications and options will always be offered to support you in your practice.
Please let us know your prior experience with yoga and any injuries you may have when filling out your registration form to ensure that you receive the support that you need. -
No worries!
Firstly, you’ll receive a PDF about the basics of your specific Human Design blueprint a few weeks before coming on retreat. This will give you time to start to get to know and play with different aspects of your Human Design.
Then, while on retreat there will be many opportunities through workshops and Q&As with Kaela to learn more and to ask all the burning questions you may have.
Kaela’s intention for this retreat is that you will leave feeling confident in understanding where to start from when learning to live by your design, and the powerful shifts that can make in your day to day life.

Absolutely!
Even when we know a lot already about our design, there are so many other pieces to learn. It often seems endless!
There will be plenty of time within the workshops and Q&As run by Kaela to ask your specific questions.
There is also space on the retreat intake form for those who have been working with their HD blueprint for a few years already, where you can request more specific information to be included in your pre-retreat Human Design PDF. This might be information on your gates, arrows, etc.
On top of all this goodness, each of the yoga practices will designed around an aspect of HD to help your body integrate.

In order to get an accurate map of your body’s Human Design we need to know three things: your birth date, location (country & city) and time.
However, sometimes you won’t have access to your specific birth time for a number of reasons.
If this is you - don’t stress! There are ways we can work together to try to pin point the time as best we can.
So - if you’re unsure what time exactly you were born, just make sure you make note of that on your registration form and Kaela will be in contact to work it out together.

There is a space on the registration form to fill out any of your specific dietary requirements. Once we have this information we will pass it on to our wonderful chef Ashley Mariani, who will accommodate these needs. All food for the weekend will be plant-based and vegan.
